After three trips and a c-note, I finally got my california plates for the bmw! I don't need to dive into much of a diatribe, since you have all experienced the dmv at some point, but damnation! Those catty bitches make life less than pleasant. Having amazing weather and a legal motorcycle makes my thoughts drift to riding apparel... I love these jackets from belstaff and might have to give myself a late christmas gift. I will without a doubt be acquiring an adventure touring motorcycle at some point this year after having obsessively watched all ten episodes of long way round. I really like the idea of being able to just ride wherever you like, and do it for extended periods of time. Camping, riding bikes, and seeing new sights, are up there on my list. Christmas day we rode bikes across the golden gate bridge and all over. Christmas eve we ate at Ben and Allison's new house, and the spread of vegetarian food seemed limitless. The eggplant parm was the best I've ever tasted.
Last night I saw the Golden Compass instead of Kid Sister....errr They are totally setting up yet another trilogy. I had no clue about the story going into it, but I was definitely entertained. Brutal ice bear battles! The dude from big lebowski who asks for a "sioux city sarsaparilla" is in it. Worth checking out.
The new Chromatics album blows. You can't count on a Kate Bush cover three tracks in to save you.
