Last leg

Good times in San Francisco, the rest of the trip ended up pretty chill. Caught a couple films, walked up steep hills, and had days spent in many parks. I rode my bike around a bit more and thrift shopped all over the place. It was a great way to greet November with most days warm enough to wear only a t-shirt. There are so many coffee shops to try out, and watering holes to patronize. The most excitement was the last night in town, when we got locked out of the car. We started by going back to the cafe we just left and looking all over for the keys. When nothing turned up, we gave up searching and assumed the worst. (it was dark and we couldn't see if they were actually in the ignition) So over the course of the next hour and a half, we tried breaking in by scoring the following: a stick from an alley way, a butter knife from a local cafe, a wire hangar from two mexican dudes working on their car, and a piece of ribbon that came off the bag of carmel popcorn we had just polished off while running around trying to figure out how to open the bitch up. It was a sight to behold with one person wielding the hanger, and the other prying the door slightly ajar while holding an iphone up to light our target, the lock button. After struggling with no success (we got close though, we could push the button down to keep re-locking the doors!) guess who walks by the car? the barista who had served us two hours earlier. And guess what he had found when closing up?! We made it out to Oakland in time for an amazing dinner courtesy of Brad, and hung out with the cutest dog ever. I can't wait to go back and see more of everything. Thanks are due to my private tour guide.

Thanks also go out to everyone who voted us the Weekly dig's best shop in Boston for the third year in a row! New at the shop this next week will be more anodized goodies, new display cases, two gorilla lifts (haha at last!) and some warm winter cycling apparel. Keep your eyes peeled for our boys and girls racing this weekend.
