This is wine country bitches!

Flickr

This past week and a half has been amazing. So far: Two nights in Chicago, breezed through Iowa and Nebraska, Denver for a second, the cliff dwellings in southern Colorado, Lake Powell and Goblin Valley in southern Utah, friends and family in Salt Lake, Black Rock desert for three nights in Nevada, two days of ballin in wine country California.

The rest of the trip will be divided between friends in San Francisco and Los Angeles, with hopefully a velodrome stop somewhere in the mix.

Some highlights: Camping non-stop, warbux moped shop, Northbrook velodrome, getting rained off the beach in Chicago, small town america, spending time with my favorite person, internet at rest stops, saw a UFO, sunburning on a giant rock in Lake Powell, iphone maps getting us everywhere, my moms, so many thrift store finds along the way, witnessing desert fashion and the bazillion soundsystems competing for attention in the desert, cutting holes in tarps, pool and jacuzzi time with views of vineyards.

Not so great: Losing the video of the man blowing the fuck up, having the shitty bike with the rad pink handlebars exchanged for something comparable of quality (without pink bars) against our will, dirt on everything, porta-potties, missing Kenlor by a day, got a ticket, hours of boring scenery in middle america, shitty coffee from gas stations, this trip ending.
